- Tempest lazily padded around the leave covered floor as the moonshine sprinkled down and a light breeze tickled her fur. She loved being out in the night air, as almost no other jammers were out at this time. Their talk of trading had always annoyed her and the fact that they would always give strange glances in her direction, only to shuffle away after. She looked over her shoulder at the sound of a twig snap and slammed right into a rock. "Huh?" After she turned around she realized there was no rock and she was staring at nothing. "Well, this is strange..." Resting her paws on the barrier she had an idea. Glancing around she lifted up one paw and stuck it into thin air. Suddenly, the young wolf vanished. But she hadn't vanished, all she had done was open up a small rift and slipped into the Duat. As she let the slight dizziness wear of Tempest bounded forward, going right through the wall. Padding along she saw a lighted hut up ahead. Her ears perked then immediately flattened as she saw the amount of jammers walking around. "Great more talk of trading and glares," she muttered to herself. She crept forward knowing they wouldn't see her in the Duat. The last time that had happened was ages ago, when a strange looking wolf seemed to have looked right at her, even though she was seemingly invisible.ReplyDelete
- Looking up she saw a butterfly fly over and padded on, stopping just on the edges of light spilling from the hut. Angling her ears she heard voices, still hesitant to go forward. Making sure she was invisble, she still kept to the shadows as she glided forward and saw not jammers, because some strange aura came off them. There was a Leopard and a Croc glaring at each other. Strange.... I didn't know those animals could sit that close without tearing the other to shreds. She sat still, panting slightly, her mana was draining from staying in the Duat. She would need to come out soon.ReplyDeleteReplies
- Frost charged out, but went past Drakus.Delete
She pounced on Tempest, pinning her in seconds.
"I've killed many dark shells like you before. Run, or I'll knock you all the way to the distant lands." Frost growled.
She unsheathed her claws, and pummeled Tempest until blood caked her fur and she barely could struggle under her weight.
Drakus ran for re enforcements.
- Tempest let out a strangled yelp as her powers evaporated and she was trapped under the leopards burning claws. "I haven't done anything wrong!" She kept talking to try and distract her as she worked up a shadowy form in the distance. Calling it to her side the giant shadow tiger leaped at Frost and pinned her. Tempest scrambled up sagging from the effort and let out a faint growl that turned into a hiss.ReplyDelete
- Her eyes widened at Frost's meld, but her thoughts were quickly cut off as a killer butterfly somehow changed into a wolf and pinned her down. "I'll tell you the truth," she hissed, "You aren't better than any other jammers. In fact, you are worse!" Tempest knew she had to rely on melee combat as her vision was starting to blur from mana usage, and she was having trouble deteriorating the tiger, which continued to take her precious mana like a hacker takes rares. She didn't want her DNA obliterated so she depended on her natural powers to shake off the wolf. She kicked it in the belly as hard she could sending a small phantom-like electric shock. Tempest lay on her side, blood oozing into the Earth, and managed to crawl into the shadows under a tree.ReplyDeleteReplies
- Suddenly, a force yanked Tempest into the Duat. She saw a heron, and the leopard floating besides her.Delete
Tempest tried to escape, but a strange force held her in place.
Mira told her all about what the Jamaasian Heroes were about, clearly not lying.
Frost actually healed her with a powerful, foreign spell.
"Tempest, I once was a wandering rogue like you. I thought that the world was cruel, and that nobody understood me. We will leave you here until you swear your loyalty to us. The spell will be everlasting and unbreakable, but there is no other option. Already this place is tearing you apart. Agree, or perish. - Tempest floated, gawking and opening her mouth then closing it. She weakly tried to open a rift, but to no avail. She felt weaker than ever and knew she couldn't hold out much longer. Already she was starting to go numb. Barely audible she muttered, "I swear my loyalty to protect Jamaa." She floated back out where she was barely conscious under the tree. ( I have to go soon >.< So I might randomly stop roleplaying. I will be back though.)Delete
- Okay, understood.Delete
Frost opened a rift for Tempest to exit through, and the room dissolved. Tempest awoke, fully healed and at the side of the Jamaasian Heroes.
- "Well then..." Having no idea what to do she padded toward the hut. Seeing a panda wave she said, "Erm... Hi?" "I wonder where that leopard is," Tempest thought silently, "Or who that heron was..."ReplyDeleteReplies
- Lisa quickly explained everything.Delete
"You seem like a worthy candidate to go infiltrate the Phantom's base. Frost will accompany you. We will purify and strengthen you afterwards. Yay or nay?" - "I'll go, that sounds good, but I'm not sure if I'm trained enough..."Delete
- "No worries, Frost, as the most talented hero in history, will be a great help."Delete
Frost appeared next to Lisa, and Tempest took a step back.
"You!" - "So you're the great and powerful Frost, hm?" She flicked one ear and dipped her head in a sign of slight respect. "That was quite the fight you put up, maybe you could teach me some moves?" Sighing she added, "I never really trained myself in ways of magic much, but I can fight a bit. Well, I guess we should get going soon. And for Firetail's sake try not to merge with any more of my shadow illusions! Mind you, they get quite draining after awhile.Delete
- Lisa looked at Frost quizically, but she just put the matter aside.Delete
Frost forced a smile, trying to hide the fact that she didn't like Tempest a lot. She reminded her all too much of Vicky, which she didn't like. Vicky was a good friend to her, and she didn't want anyone seizing that from her.
"Fine. I'll teach you how to harness icefire, it'll help."
Frost dragged Tempest by the scruff to the training grounds. - Frost forced a smile.Delete
She knew everything about Tempest, because of her dark connection. However, she still didn't trust Tempest.
"Fine. Follow me to learn the art of icefire."
Frost padded to the training grounds. - With a shrug Tempest padded after Frost. She knew that look in her eyes and had gotten it from a lot of jammers. It was dislike and distrust. Muttering something under her breath she began to wonder about icefire, so she decided she would listen to the leopard.Delete
Thinking about whether to tell Frost she should tell when one forced a smile or when one was natural, she was suddenly greeted by a blast of cold. Snapping into reality she saw someone had sent a jet of icefire inches from her head. "Watch your aim," She said her ears flat. - Frost shrugged. She got that feeling from everyone, as she was even more an oddball than Tempest was.Delete
"Icefire is deadly and hard to control. Even I, the master of icefire, have a hard time trying to aim it. Try concentrating your energies, ball up all that hatred, and think about freezing it. Then, take a deep breath and exhale."
Frost did it, balling up a powerful blast. Tempest realized that Frost was even more troubled than her, and relaxed.
Suddenly, Vicky popped out of nowhere, and started to tell Tempest about how Snow became a dark shell and how it added up to what had happened to Tempest. Tempest tried to trigger some electricity in confusion, but Vicky's intake of storm powers blocked it. - Tempest eyed Vicky warily but held out a paw and offered a greeting. Then she realized that Vicky held some information about her past... Maybe later she could ask, but for now she had to focus. After having a quick talk with Victory, who seemed nice, she rotated her attention to Frost. Try as she might she could only summon a small ball that fluttered to the ground where it burned out weakly. It was quite hard trying to summon much hatred after talking to such a peppy wolf.Delete
- Frost sighed, and decided to just drag Tempest along to the sewers. Vicky followed them, running across the storm clouds.Delete
- Twisting out of Frost's grip she padded along beside her. "What are we doing down here?" She shuddered slightly; the chaos energy was everywhere, and it was almost overwhelming. What scared her was she felt almost drawn to it, but she kept quiet as she walked along, glancing around. "Sorry I was being a bit rude earlier... I'm not used to being around others," she offered quietly, trying to break the cobwebs of silence.Delete
- "Its okay," Frost said, "I once was a rogue, alone in the world, like you."Delete
She tried to explain everything quickly, but Tempest was too tired of explanations to really care.
Phantoms went by, but ignored Frost and Tempest because Frost had masked herself with an illusion of a rather large phantom and Tempest looked like the normal dark shell wandering the sewers.
Tempest shivered as they crept through the filthy sewers, but Frost was used to it, so she didn't even think of puking.
After what seemed like days of puddle-jumping and walking, they came to the outcrop where the walkways ended and the green mist of Apophis's spirit rose up. - She began to shudder uncontrollably as the green mist formed a giant snake. She wasn't scared, but the aura it released... There was something about it. A hissing voice seemed to speak in her mind, "Welcome halfling and darkling." Tempest jumped slightly and glanced at Frost, wondering if she could hear it too. How had he known?Delete
- Frost could also hear the voice, but ignored it.Delete
"Tempest, that is Apophis, the devourer, the hapbringer of doomsday. He can split into the form of two phantom monarchs, and with enough power can become the beast known as the phantom mutant."
She waved her paw, and Apophis slunk back down into the endless pit, snarling.
White phantoms came out of nowhere, and became a bridge for them to walk safely across to reach the palace. - Regaining her calm she hesitantly put a paw on the bridge. She had heard of the phantom rebels and their legends during her travels, so she was careful not to let her claws sink into the eyes.Delete
"I never asked but what exactly are we going to do here?" Tempest continued to walk lightly forward, as it felt as if she had had four coffees. She was secretly absorbing the chaos energy around her, like Frost absorbed ice energy in the mountains. No point in wasting it she figured. At this point she even felt she could crush any phantom, defeat any alpha, wait no. That was wrong. She gave her head a little shake. Not defeat any alpha, but defeat any robotized phantom. - After they entered the palace, Tempest stared at the onyx black walls and the gloom of the place.Delete
"We're supposed to collect data and find weaknesses in this vile place. The alphas want to wipe out the phantoms once and for all." Frost said.
Tempest's eyes widened. - She continued to look around the grotesque yet beautiful place. The bone chandeliers gave a soft glow as they crept forward, "I just realized something, where are all the guards," she continued whispering, "Destroying all the phantoms seems a bit harsh, but I guess I wouldn't mind clawing a few to shreds." As much as Tempest didn't like it this place felt more like home than the alpha hut had. Hearing a noise she ducked into the shadows, remembering her powers she seemingly sank into the shadow and appeared in the next one, about 10 phantoms away, where she waited for Frost.Delete
- Frost sensed Tempest's emotions, and smiled.Delete
"I also felt like that once, so I understand you. Look, the oath prevents you from betraying us, so unfortunately we'll just have to work on the mission for now. Take some mental notes on how you could find a weakness in the defenses here."
Frost shadow-morphed to the other side of the humongo palace. - Tempest relaxed a bit, happy someone understood. She continued to shadow-portal around the palace. "I think I found something!" She locked her gaze on a tiny door next to a bone throne, only the size of her paw.Delete
she silently made a mental note as she had said to do, "This door could be to shadow-morph into the palace for the phantom messengers. It doesn't look very used" She wondered, "How many jamasians at the Alpha Hut have some power over shadows? You could lead a small force in here, meld with the shadows and wait. Then, we could try to take on the king when his minions have left, and maybe even get a few phantom weaponry samples for LaSalle." - Frost nodded as she talked to Tempest through mind-perception.Delete
"There is me, you, Greely and Ledra. Unfortunately, there is also a queen, and minions are born every single second when somebody thinks a bad thought. Great idea, though. LaSalle could also use that weaponry, too."
Suddenly, a phantom came up behind her, and whacked her so hard she was knocked out. Frost was dragged somewhere else.
"Frost?" - Tempest's eyes widened. She had been cut off, groping for Frost's usually warded mind she hadn't notice something come from the door. She received a dizzying thump to the head and stumbled forward. Spinning around to face her attacker her eyes flashed in anger and she growled. Tempest leaped at the phantom, twisted away from its tentacles, and sank her thrumming claws deep into its eye. It flashed across her mind that she had almost no training but she quickly shoved the thought away. The phantom gave a screech as it slowly went into the fabric of time. "Ok, one down now I just need to fin-" She suddenly crumpled the same way Frost had. A large assassin like phantom stood behind her, a single tentacle wrapped full-charge around her leg. She heard a booming voice say something like, "I found this dark-shell sniffing around the throne. Shall we renew our grip on it, or should we torture it to death? After all, dark shells aren't supposed to be in the throne room at this time." Then the world went blank.Delete
- A different phantom looked at it, some weird force controlling it.
"No, lets lock it up with the leopard. She will be a good force channeling the leopard's energy for the ritual."
The phantom looked at the possessed one quizzically, but did as told.
Tempest was dumped into the room, where Frost was hooked up to many tubes and wires in a giant glass tube.
Tempest awoke, and screamed.
"FROST! Can you here me," she kept on trying to get through to her friend, but it didn't work, and she had a nasty bump on her head. At first Tempest thought she had been about to puke, with all the tubes jabbed into Frost's limp body coated in blood. She had quickly got over it, determined to help her. Her eyes got brighter with an idea. "I'm sorry about this. Hopefully it works though." She focused and got her claws crackling with electricity, then, sprinting at Frost, she scored her claws into Frost's side, hoping to jolt her awake. She then opened a small rift, where she would try to get both of them through and back to the hut. The young wolf wasn't sure she could carry Frost's limp body all the way through the Duat, though."- Suddenly, a sharp blast hit her. (Pretend that much time has passed since they were training with icefire, before they started the mission.)Delete
Mecha Snowyclaw appeared in the doorway, her eyes full of hatred. MS quickly returned Frost to the metal tube, where her tubes dripped shadure into her. The rift closed as Tempest was knocked out.
"It is time to darken Frost. This dark shell will be a nice addition, too." MS snarled. She pressed a button, and electricity started to shock Frost. Meanwhile, a metal tube surrounded Tempest, and she too started to be shocked.
"Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!" Frost cried, struggling against her bonds.
Tempest didn't wake. - While Frost fought her battle Tempest was fighting hers. She struggled to wake but it felt as if a whale had sat on her. A big one. Something was taking her energy and she didn't know what, and her thoughts were slowly turning against her. She wasn't conscious enough to control the chaos energy she had taken in. Dark pin-points of pain covered her pelt as she lay limp, and suddenly her vision turned red and was replaced by hate. She now felt as if she had drank a thousand cups of ultra caffeinated coffee. Even in her sleep she wanted to go everywhere in Jamaa and create... chaos. But her thoughts slowly faded out as she struggled to take control. Then black. Her energy was being stolen and used elsewhere, and she was soon to fade out.Delete
- Suddenly, Tempest dissolved, and reformed inside Frost's mind. All of her powers were sucked into Frost's consciousness, leaving her as a helpless bystander. Frost's fur turned dark, and her eyes closed for a moment, then opened. Her eyes were no longer blue, they were now red.Delete
"Slay all the Jamaasians! Kill them all!" MS cackled.
"Yes. Master." Frost growled.
MS waved a steel paw, and Frost laid down again.
"Fall into a sleep," MS snarled, overriding what she had said before. "and don't wake up until you are ordered to. It will be like temporary death."
"Yes. I will do as told."
Frost slumped down, tubes still hooked up to her, and was concealed in a green liquid. - Tempest had lost her battle. And now as she slept in Frost's mind she took on a different form. Long leathery bat wings were folded at her sides and two long bushy tails lay on the ground. She gave a rumbling purr like some elephant sized demented cat, as she was dreaming of creating chaos in Jamaa. Of course somewhere deep down the true Tempest was in a deep sleep and struggling. A faint green glow emitted from beneath her eyelids, instead of the normal friendly light blue. Two dark creatures in one, who knows what will happen...Delete
- Two months later...Delete
Frost awoke, and wandered out. Tempest followed her, both in a daze. Their spirits were connected, thinking the same thing: Destroy.
Teleporting, they were dragged to Metal Frost's lair, where they willingly stepped into roboticizers. There, they were mechanized.
"We are Mecha Frost and Mecha Tempest. Reporting for duty."
MS smiled.
"Go kill the Jamaasian Heroes!" she ordered.
Sleepily, they blasted off on their paw rockets to go uproot the Jamaasian Heroes. - MT Happily glided through the air, that is if a robotic demon of mass destruction can feel happiness. It cackled evily it's two robotic tails swishing as it landed outside the Alpha Hut and grabbed Vicky by the neck. It aimed its mechanizer at her and fired. Its claws once again whirred with electricity where Mecha Tempest began turning normal jammers into robots and creating general chaos. She may have been under Metal Frost's control but she was still hard to get on task, especially when the ability to create chaos showed itself.Delete
- Mecha Vicky and Mecha Frost worked in unison, and soon every single Jamaasian Hero was roboticized, some who put up more of a fight than others. Together, they flew back to get weaponized at MF's lair.Delete
Metal Frost was gleeful to see her plan successful, and so proceeded to weaponize them right away... that is, most of them. MT and Mecha Frost had to sleep a bit in the tubes of green liquid to replenish their connection.
Meanwhile, Frost's spirit was barely even existent, but Tempest was fighting the robot shell.
- While the robot shell slept Tempest was pacing madly, in her own mind. "Of course I'm paired with the most powerful hero and shes sleeping in the corner," glancing worriedly at Frost's fading in and out spirit she continued, "Come on Tempest think! Maybe..." She slammed her paws into the "ground" and started absorbing the robots demonic energies in an attempt to make it weak, but she was blasted back skimming and wheezing the world dimming. No organic being should absorb that much energy, unless they want to be killed. Panting she sat down by the sleeping Frost her paws heavy in despair. She had tried opening a rift and that didn't work. She could only think of one way, but that could mean death.ReplyDeleteReplies
- Suddenly, Frost awoke, and anger flared inside her.Delete
The robot shell pierced, and Frost emerged, hatred burning from what she had done unknowingly. Somehow, an odd force was guiding her...
"Metal Frost... Leave, or burn to ashes."
Frost unleashed a gargantuan ball of icefire. - Metal Tempest began to whir and click furiously as the icefire enveloped almost the whole cave. She was defenseless without any weapons and considering and since her link to Metal Frost had been broken even more so, as the burning yet freezing ice began to eat away at the metal, it smoldered and the red eyes dimmed.Delete
- Suddenly, the fire ceased, and the shells burnt off the Jamaasian Heroes. Metal Frost had flown away somewhere, dragging MS along with her.Delete
Vicky, horrified at her transformation, teleported to go de-roboticize Jamaa. The others followed her, leaving Tempest and Frost to awkwardly stare at each other.
"Tempest.. we have an empathy link now. You die, I perish. You get sick, I may fall ill too. We must be careful from now on, and not get roboticized. Lets go tell Lisa the data we collected." - Tempest nodded silently, not exactly sure what to say.Delete
"Shouldn't we give chase to MS and MF?" With a shrug she began to shadow-portal towards the direction of the Alpha Hut, and one last question, she spoke in her mind, "Is there anyway to stop this empathy link, no offense to you, but I don't have nearly as much training and if I were to get hurt in any way...." - "I can block it on my side, but we can't completely severe it." Frost growled. "Besides, we've had enough adventures for the day. Lets go tell Lisa, then rest at my den, afterwards give chase."Delete
Frost shadow-warped to Lisa's room, where she lay in her bed gabbing on her walkie-talkie to Oliver, who was in Vramaa pursing MS and MF. - Tempest shadow-warped after Frost, still wondering about the empathy link she muttered under her breath, "Magic, you never know what happens next. Lisa! We have found some weaknesses in the phantom palace." Tempest looked at Frost and wondered if they should mention the Link. "There seems to be a rarely used door that could be used to spy by shadow users, to attack, or LaSalle could try to get some Phantom Weaponry"Delete
- Frost muttered a spell under her breath, and her part of the empathy link was blocked so that Tempest's health didn't affect her.Delete
Frost blurted the empathy link. When she was done, Lisa scratched her chin.
"Hmph. Talk to Greely. He will severe the link... if he's in a good mood."
Frost shuddered, because Greely almost NEVER was in a good mood, but with some convincing he would give in.
They shadow-warped to Greely's room. It was easy, as the wolf himself shadow-warped often, creasing a little "path" for them.
The wolf glared at them. - ( Sorry this took so long, and on a random note, have you heard of Pokemon X and Y?Delete
Tempest looked at Greely silently, meeting his glare with one of her own. He clearly had phantom powers rolling off of him, and she still hated them for what they had done. Then she had a thought, what if he was phantom-like enough for her to look into his mind. Giving it a try she found it was carefully covered in wards. "Those must be helped with the power of a dragon heartstone to be that strong," she thought to herself. Then she almost crumpled from a quick flash of pain in her head. Greely was sifting through her thoughts. Flinching, she quickly set up wards by focusing her mind on one thing. "Interesting. So you would like an empathy link severed then?" Greely was looking at them and seemed to be staring at Tempest with a look of a scientist about to cut open a dead patient for an autopsy. She got the feeling, "Interesting" didn't mean the empathy link. - I have heard of it, of course!Delete
Frost battered at Greely's mind, using the technique Ledra had taught her. Shade and Greely had shared a way to "invade each other's minds, and since Ledra simply was Shade reborn, she knew.
Break this weak ward, push aside another, and bam, she could control Greely. Like a Yeerk, those alien slugs (from the series Animorphs), she made Greely cut the link.
At the same time, though, she felt a connection to a friend break. It was almost as if a string kept them together, and some scissors had cut them.
Frost withdrew, and Greely fell, the dragon heartstone tumbling out.
Frost smirked.
"If Drakus saw this, he would be ENRAGED, I'm sure of it."
She stuffed it into Tempest's chest (somehow, Tempest's soul absorbed it) and ran out to go get Vicky, since the three cooperated well. - She watched as Greely went still and was quite confused for a while, until she noticed Frost was still too. Then it felt as if some part of her brain had been shut off, though it was small, but it was something she hadn't really notice until it was gone. Greely fell to the ground with a thump and a stone rolled out of his armor.Delete
"I knew it! He did have one, but where in jamaa did he get it?" Suddenly Frost leapt at her and slammed her paw at her chest. "What in DarkBreath's name did you- Oh the heartsone. How did you even do that..." Before her question was answered Frost had ran out. Having an idea where she had gone she shadow-morphed right next to Vicky, surprising them both. - Drakus flew down from the sky, eyes bloodshot.Delete
"WHY, YOU-" he shrieked, and started ripping Tempest apart. Vicky and Frost tried to pry him off, but he was relentless.
After she was bloodied, Drakus simply teleported away.
Frost shrugged.
"Well, Drakus IS a maniac."
Vicky glared at her, then used ancient healing spells to heal Tempest.
Frost and Vicky linked tails, and shadow-warped together.
Tempest's heart sank. She wanted to be Frost's friend, but it seemed as if she liked Vicky a bit more.
She shadow-warped after them, her powers strengthened by the heartstone. (The heartstone is just a heartstone of a random evil Frost dragon.)
Meanwhile, in the space colony..
DarkBreath cursed, pressing buttons.
"Oh, what I will do when I catch that traitor, Raika... I think I'll just settle with wetting Apophis's spirit with their blood for now, though."
He cackled, pressing a button to send MS and MF to take them to him and his friend Agate. - Tempest's tail lashed as she silently padded after Frost and Vicky. "The next time Drakus shows his face he is being kicked all the way to Vramaa." She padded a few tail-lengths back, just out of ear shot, so she had time to think. True, she was starting to miss the empathy link, just a little, but she was more curious as to how much power she had with the hearstone. Judging by the size it had been an ancient dragon when it had died, and now that Tempest had it she was pretty sure with the right amount of training she could almost rival Frost. Looking up ahead to make sure they were a good distance Tempest tried opening a rift to see how much energy it would take. It took about half as much of the effort it used to. Her eyes widened and she bounded after the two friends. "Frost, how many dragon heartstones do you know of? I had a thought, and its not a good one."Delete
- Lets roleplay off a new comment now.Delete
"Drakus told me that there are only three, and he has two of them. You have one. I have the power of the Elemental Feather, the original township Emerald, three Mira Feathers, my Spirit Armor, and other things." Frost replied.
Suddenly, a trap fell from the sky, and Metal Frost curled her claws around Vicky's neck. Mecha Snowyclaw curled her claws around Tempest's neck.
"Come with us willingly," Metal Frost hissed, "or your friends die."
"I won't go without a fight!" Frost replied, but Mecha Snowyclaw's blast trapped her in a cage instead. She did the same to Vicky and Tempest, and carried them through the atmosphere.
"I wonder why they want to trap us so badly..." Vicky muttered, glaring at their captors lifting their compact cages to the space station. They would have choked on the thin air if air wasn't pumped to their cages from the robots.Tempest sat in her cage. Every time she had tried to open a rift one of the robots would simply shock all three of their cages. There were no shadows to mess with and when she tried using icefire it died out because of the thin atmosphere. She trailed her claws in boredom around the floor, "If only they were phantoms, then I could read their thoughts. They already caught us once, what do they want my McAlpha Zios toy or something? Well, they can have it."ReplyDelete
Suddenly they were all jerked roughly and an auto-tuned voice hissed,"Quiet down there!"
Tempest looked up, "What are you scared?" She was rewarded with another jerk that sent her slamming into the sides of the electric bars. Gritting her teeth in pain she was quit again.Replies- Frost's face went slack realizing what they want.Delete
"Tempest, Vicky. They want to spill our blood near Apophis to make him more powerful. (Just look at the new story.)"
Vicky growled, but got shocked.
Suddenly, a hatch in a nearby phantom space capsule opened, and the cages were sucked in. The two robots departed for their own base.
Agate smirked as he saw them.
He put the cages inside the back of the capsule, and let them free. Instantly, an electric wall opened to divide them from the pilot and them.
"Roam free in this space," Agate said, "until I drive the spear into your hearts."
The capsule started to fly towards the palace. - Tempest paced around the small square. She summoned up the puny shadows that were there, making a small ball the size of Vicky. She focused and sent it at the electric wall, but only a few shards of it made it through, and she used them to blind the pilot temporarily. As the plane started to tilt wildly and the phantom emitted high screeches she turned towards the others,"So, what do we do now? This should throw us off course for an hour or two, or just anger Agate and get us killed. I think Jamaa is a bit too far to shadow-warp, and the capsule blocks any rifts. Though, Frost you might be able to use icefire now."Delete
- Frost tried to, but it was absorbed to power the capsule.Delete
Vicky summoned lightning, but there was a lightningrod. The capsule was designed to hold Jamaasian Heroes, potent or not.
"I am usually the optimist, but even I have to admit, I think this is pointless. We have to wait until the last moment to escape using that door."
Vicky sighed, and they played Chopsticks with claws to pass the time. - Tempest suppressed a sigh, knowing Chopsticks was mainly for two players. She padded towards the corner of the square and curled up with her tail over her nose. Trying to tap into the heartstone to maybe talk to the dragon soul she found it was sleeping. She closed her eyes and as she drifted off she thought she heard a shout from Frost. "Probably a shout of victory." Little did she know, however, that the pilot had gotten back and course, and the phantoms were angry.Delete
- Frost gritted her teeth.Delete
She managed a spell to calm them, and they turned to maneuvering.
Later....
Frost and Tempest and Vicky were dumped in the throne room shackled. (Sorry, GTG!) - Tempest struggled against the burning chain. The phantoms had bewitched them so the chains absorbed their powers, so every time they tried to break free their bonds only grew stronger. Then she had an idea. Focusing she managed to grab a puny piece of shadow, then she slowly brought it towards her chain and began picking the lock with the shard. If she could get at least one leg free she could probably break free her others; the problem was the phantoms. They were everywhere and she didn't know how she could escape with Frost and Vicky without getting them all killed, or worse.Delete
- This is a bit random, but I have been reading more of your stories and going over ones I missed and I must say they were all amazing. My favorite characters are probably Nanyte, Ka, and Sabre. I also like a ton of others but those are top three.Delete
- Thanks, Tempest! My favorite ten are: (not necessarily in that order)Delete
1. Frost
2. Vicky
3. Ledra
4. Harper
5. LaSalle
6. Crystal (not revealed in stories yet)
7. Amelia
8. Mecha Snowyclaw
9. Ka
10. Dark Mira (not revealed in stories yet)
Frost sensed what Tempest meant, but managed to sink into the Duat. She beckoned Tempest to do the same, as she had dragged Vicky in with her, but the phantoms had realized what happened and held onto Tempest harder. Frost and Vicky went back to full health, but nevertheless helpless to get her back.
Vicky and Frost, being half-sisters, exchanged glances.
The Phantoms were going after their friends now, possibly even going to kill Snowyclaw. - Aphophis let out a roar as the two heroes vanished. He looked as if he wanted to strangle all of his servants, but after lashing his rattle knife his gaze settled on the one struggling prisoner. He hissed, "Why hello there darkling and welcome to my palace. I know about your feeble little hearstone, and trust me its powers won't help you here. All magical items, including Mira feathers, are at least semi-blocked. Now, if I could just get into your mind, that would be perfect." With a flick of his tail the phantoms had put Tempest in a stronger bond and made sure she couldn't so much as twitch a whisker. They had learned from their mistake of letting the two other heroes go. Tempest began building up barriers around her mind, trying to tap into the heartstone, which still worked a bit. Then the pain came. Aphophis himself was slamming against her wards and it felt like the thousand foot snake was constricting around her skull, slowly crushing in. After a few efforts he clearly got annoyed and spoke, to Tempest's relief, "Throw it in one of the prisons. She is useless until weakened, and we can bait her friends perhaps and get the blood." He bared his fangs in the resemblance of a smile as phantom guards dragged her away.Delete
"I will get your mind soon Darkling, you can't keep up this strength forever." And with that he withdrew and she was left alone in the dark magic enforced cell. She sat still not knowing what to do, then she noticed there was a sort of vacuum noise. The air began to feel thick and her eyelids heavy as her heart slowed and she fell. - Frost, being the most powerful Jamaasian Hero, was able to manipulate the phantoms with some charmspeak and sneak in at night to treat Tempest to renewed wards and a feast. The Duat was easy to traverse for her, and so Tempest came out of the prison once in a while to exercise and recover from the lack of air pressure. Eventually, Frost left her a scroll that described how to fuse with the shadows, become a tornado. (Be warned: once we get out of this, we will start a new story in the roleplay: Dark Mira and Crystal's conflict and our journey to drive Dark Mira out.)Delete
Tempest smiled, and decided that once Apophis tried to batter her mind once more that evening, she would escape using the tornado. - Her chains rattled as she was brought before the Snake Lord, and he seemed in a very bright mood, "Any last words before you become my minion?" He smirked and started to tap on her wards very lightly, making fun because he thought she couldn't escape. "She muttered the spell under her breath for her last words with a laugh at his surprised face turn into one of rage." Tempest felt as if her molecules were being ripped apart then expanding, spinning wildly she threw phantoms into the air. She managed to half gain control and spiraled through the wall, making a nice sized hole in the palace. She did feel like she had a wriggling Emu strapped to her back, trying to unbalance her and scratch her, but she slowly made her way out. She really was a Tempest. The phantoms had no hopes of capturing her now and she thought she could feel the floor rocking beneath her as Aphophis rampaged. When she dropped the spell, a few miles away she hadn't realized how exhausted she was. The world still felt like it was spinning and everything was blurring, even with the help of the dragon stone. She had just enough energy to shadow-warp into her room and collapse onto her hammock.Delete
- Frost rushed to her side, as she had been playing on her paw-pad in their shared room in her castle, and pumped a blue mana potion down her throat. Instantly Tempest felt better. Once Tempest recounted what had happened, Frost nodded.Delete
"Both me and Vicky agreed that we should train you more. Come to the forest around my castle with us, and we'll train more. Next, we will be going to a different dimension... be prepared."
Tempest nodded, and followed them.
Two months later...
Vicky and Frost combined their powers, sweat pouring down their brow. Both of them merged powers, storm and ice combining in a joint effort to open the portal. Tempest watched them in awe.
A portal decent-sized opened, purple depths swirling.
Frost beckoned to Tempest as she and Victory stepped through the portal.
"Follow us to Blankworld!"
Tempest hesitated, then waded through.
She was in for a shock.
The land around them was barren white, with a few more completely white stuff decorating the landscape. It seemed to go on forever.
Suddenly, a cry rang out and echoed, and then a ball of bright colors leaped at them, narrowly missing them. It dissolved, and a two-legged echidna with dreadlocks and two robotic limbs smiled pearly whites at them.
"Hello, Frost, long time no see. My name is Crystal, elated to meet y'all."

Roleplay Story: Tempest and Frost's Adventures
This post is just compromised of some of the comments on the Phantom War RP! page. Please enjoy.
She would need to come out soon.ReplyDelete
Tempest lay on her side, blood oozing into the Earth, and managed to crawl into the shadows under a tree.ReplyDelete
- "Well then..." Having no idea what to do she padded toward the hut. Seeing a panda wave she said, "Erm... Hi?" "I wonder where that leopard is," Tempest thought silently, "Or who that heron was..."ReplyDelete
