To give you a break from Frost this, Frost that, I'll present you a little side-story about Crystal and her adventures within Blankworld. Are you happy now?
Crystal, being the girl she was, lay down on her chair inside Ennis's workshop. Long ago, Frost had unblanked her when a thinner accident had blanked the entire Blankworld, not that it was already blank enough to begin with, and they had plenty of mayhem to deal with the thinner and using a mystical magic paint bucket to restore the world. When they finally repaired Blankworld, the bucket transformed into the raccoon Pyro. She appeared in a blast of rainbow paint that looked like this:
She looked like a pony at first, then formed into a raccoon, also anamorphic.
Crystal sighed, when all of a sudden a scroll in a bottle plunked into her hands from the open window with a plunk.
It wasn't blanked out, so she had ease opening it. (Blanked out items just become statue-like, heavier and are inanimate even if they once were living things. Thinner and certain spells cause blanking, but it only works in Blankworld.) The message read:
Help! My name is Yappity,
and thinner monsters have captured me.
Please, come to the Paint Tower
and free me! Help me, Crystal!
Desperately,
Yappity
P.S. In case you're wondering, I'm
a rare purple Wisp. More incentive,
huh?
Crystal looked inside the dirty glass one more time, then laid the scroll on the desk and went to save the self-proclaimed purple Wisp. She had never seen one, but it must have been the last one to find before she could be a true Guardian to Blankworld.
Suddenly, Pyro barrelled out of nowhere.
"Hello, Crystal, you seem to be in a hurry. Let me join ya to help!"
Crystal started to protest, but Pyro looked at her with puppy-dog eyes.
Crystal sighed.
"Fine, Pyro, but PLEASE shut your maw when I tell you to."
Pyro did an Irish dance, then skipped behind Crystal as she ran to the Paint Tower.
After a lot of running over the floor-like ground of Blankworld, she grabbed a Yellow Wisp floating around, and absorbed it.
She then turned on the power, and became a yellow squid-like drill with two, white glaring eyes. Leaping into the earth, she left a tunnel for Pyro to follow her through.
As she emerged on the top of the ground (a chunk of soft rock and grass on top, of course, with color), she gasped. With that breath, the Yellow wisp left her body and drifted away.
There were not one, not two, but three never-seen before wisps inside large, red capsules before her eyes! They looked like these wisps:
Yappity, the Purple Wisp
Yacker the White Wisp
Module the Green Wisp
Crystal and Pyro were shocked, but before they could react and break the capsules open, ten thinner monsters appeared before them!
The Wisps trembled inside their containers, waiting for doom to come and their energies taken out of them. (Its called Hyper-Go-On energy, and it is very powerful, but also their life force, making them incredibly valuable. Vramaa and the Thinner Empire have already make technology designed for harnessing their power.)
"Not under my watch!" Pyro cried, and tackled a monster, its bubbling energies wrapping around her. She punched and kicked, but it surronded her and held her in a bubble, frozen in a cage. Because they were essentially made of paint, Pyro started to Blank.
Shaking, Crystal used a paint pail and dumped its contents on top of the monster, making it hiss and become a mere puddle. Pyro came out safely, restored to full color, drenched with bubbles of hissing black goo.
"Never assault a Thinner creature without a supply of paint, okay?" Crystal growled.
Pyro nodded.
The rest of the monsters hissed, and fled like cowards. The Wisps burst out of their capsules.
"Whew.. I don't like this sort of adventure. Lets go home and have some tea. We should also get these wisps to live in our sancutary, where you can study them and learn more, Pyro." Crystal huffed. She whistled, and the wisps cuddled her.
Pyro smiled at their affection, and reached out to pet Yappity.
Suddenly, the Wisp entered her, and Pyro slowly morphed into a purple monster. Pyro ate her way through the rock, and Crystal had no choice but to follow her.
When Crystal caught up with her, Yappity was out of her body and flew to Crystal's legs, clinging to her affectionately.
Pyro seemed dizzy, and for good matter. Her stomach was bulging, as if she had ate a moose.
Crystal cracked a smile, and carried both Pyro and the three new wisps home to Ennis's place.
