Frost looked at the spear, the blunt scythe, and the ax, all with yellow ribbons. Amelia was showing her these weapons because she was going to teach Frost about the various ways animals hold weapons.
While Amelia talked, Frost's mind wandered. Lisa had confirmed the phantoms were going to take the fight to the surface of Jamaa, and that the Alphas were working hard to equip the Jamaasians with good defenses.
But would it be enough to save Jamaa?
All of a sudden, Amelia's voice tugged her to a certain thought: Would the younger Jammers understand the mechanics of the war? Mia didn't really want the war to start, and other Jammers said they also didn't think it would do the younger Jammers much good, but the parents of the younger ones could choose if the younger ones were allowed to battle, if the war was going to work that way.
The yellow ribbons were just because some animals needed weapon grip, and that was the best grip Graham could find.
"...and we will be sure to protect Jamaa when the phantoms do come." Amelia said. Frost had a good idea that, in fact, the Jamaasians would face a hard journey to come, but with the Alphas and deities on their side, then they would find journey's end as the rest of the phantoms were killed off.
is frost the arctic wolf shaman?
ReplyDeleteNo, silly! She is the snow leopard apprentice of Amelia! Sorry, but the word Shaman isn't allowed on this blog unless you're making a theory. I just hate that word. If this is unfair, speak up! Just read the more recent stories.
