"Arina, the artist of Jamaa before Peck became more well known, is the wife of the holy priest of Zios, Amadeus. Her paintings rivaled even Peck's jazzy art, her sculptures were stunning, and her style made even the snobbiest happy."
"However, she gave away each painting and sculpture for one gem, and after fifty years she only had 10,000 gems to spend on food, shelter, and clothing. She lived in the Art Studio, and her life slowly withered away of age. Peck saw this as the opportunity to shine her true colors, and challenged Arina to a weaving contest."
"Sure, Arina's tapestries shined like a pollen-coated wind, but Peck's seemed to have strings made of light. So, they sat down in the Chamber Of Knowledge, and wove as fast as a horse's sprint, competing for the title of Jamaa's Best Artist. The challenge lasted three days, each weaving colored string and rarely taking meal and sleep breaks."
"Eventually, their elaborate tapestries were done. However, Peck had cheated, using a feather of Mira to keep her energy up, and often used jinxes to make Arina falter in her weaving. Peck's tapestry was of Mira fighting the phantoms valiantly, while Arina's was of... a caterpillar munching a leaf. The older artist, being the old wolf she was, resigned from art and has journeyed for parts unknown 'to make things right'. Nobody except for Mira, Peck, Arina and Frost know of the time she cheated..."
