Crystal: Fire in the Sky

(Please play this tune: Dreams of an Absolution (Remix)! Its beautiful! And listen to this too!)
Amy, Elias, Knuckles, Miles, Julie-Su and Lara-Su floated on the harsh wind, looking for the intimidating barracks of the Shadow Legion.
Meanwhile, Hyper Silver and Crystal blazed through the sky like maniacs ahead of them, having a joyride while they still could, pointing out various Mobius areas and other things.
"Look! A flicky! And a half-destroyed badnik! And a thinner creature!" cried Crystal, waggling a finger at a colorful mountain decorated with cotton candy trees.
"And ruins of an Egg Pawn! Some bush-cats! Some wisps coloring in the landscape!" replied Silver, pointing his own finger at a grassy field.
"Wow, good eye!" they said at the same time.
Suddenly, though, a large blast of flames hit them, ripping at their fur.
"Wha.. Oh. Blaze." said Silver.
"Wait, its Blaze? I thought Shadow likes her close to base." said Crystal.
"Then we must be getting close. I'll hold off Blaze, go warn the others!" replied Silver, squirming out of Crystal's arms.
As Silver charged up a blast while levitating, Crystal looked at the others, and saw that Scourge, Fiona, Rouge, Sonia, Manik, the Destructix, and many others, were already attacking them.
"Silver, I think we're needed. I'll try to restore Blaze, go help them!" exclaimed Crystal.
"Why?!" shouted Silver, releasing several rapid blasts from his gloves as he spoke.
"Hmph. To think I once loved this weak hedgehog. Now, he has left me, a stylish girl, for some blubbering doofus with no fashion sense. I guess I'll find enjoyment in your death!" growled Blaze, not like her regular royal self.
Blaze's enhancements were Flame-Legion style, blasting out flames rapidly. Of course, the pyrokinetic cat had Shadow-Legion-esque technology, such as Chaos-energy absorption panels and a fresh stock of Chaos Spears, but other than that Blaze could have been a Flame-Legion member.
Silver dodged another flamethrower, then rocketed through the sky to join the others.
"So, you are Blaze, guardian of the Sol Emeralds and ex-girlfriend of Silver. Well, I never heard of any relationship between you two, so I doubt it. Besides, he loves me." said Crystal, chaos energy crackling around her hands, robotic or not.
"Well, well, its the weenie Crystal. Not exactly a polished crystal on the table, I say. I'll tie your dreadlocks and burn them! Burn, burn!" cackled Blaze. Fire started to crackle around her silver hands, and the metal plate on her face shined nefariously.
"Bring it on!" shouted Crystal.
"I'll crush you in seconds." replied Blaze.
Lunging towards Blaze's purple dress, Crystal blasted the fire cat with a potent Chaos Control.
"Not bad, noob, but I think I'll f*** your butt up to demonstrate how the pros do it." growled Blaze.
Crystal managed to tune out Blaze's cussing just in time, but she still winced at the bitterness of the words.
Somehow, Shadow had changed all of his victim's personalities, so that they would be cold and ready to take on their former allies. His evil grip even bled into other dimensions, claiming innocent Mobians like Blaze and Pyro (Marine), or villains like Fiona, Scourge and the Suppression Squad. Heck, Shadow even took Feist and roboticized him!
Blaze set her foot on fire with a single thought, and kicked Crystal, hard. Crystal managed to dodge the serious damage, but still flinched at the burn Blaze's shoe left in her leg.
"I'll make you eat your swearing!" cried Crystal.
Seeing a Cyan Wisp floating among the clouds, Crystal tampered with her rocket ability to dive down.
"Coward! Real women stand and fight!" snarled Blaze, twisting her pyrokinetic powers to also dive down.
Reaching... reaching... gotcha!
Crystal snatched the Cyan Wisp, and glanced at its surprised face for a moment.
"Sorry, lil' guy, I just need you for a 'sec."
Slamming the wisp into her chest, a cyan shell overcame Crystal, and she lay down in the stable mirage and screamed: "Lasers!"
"Dignified robots don't use outdated lasers. We use lemon shooters-AAH!"
Blaze was slammed into by a outta-control Cyan Laser, the shell bouncing around off some floating platforms.
Seeing the platforms, Crystal barely directed the Laser attack to a steel chunk and came out.
The Cyan wisp gripped its forehead, seemingly dizzy/
Seeing Crystal, Blaze rubbed the spot where Crystal hit her, then hissed and landed.
THUD.
As Blaze lunged towards her with blazing fingertips, ready to push a pressure-point, time seemed to slow down.
Crystal could hear the screams and explosions of the scuffle above her, but it didn't matter at that point.
"I have a plan... I hope this works." muttered Crystal.
Blaze seemed to move like a snail, which was important since normally Blaze was as nimble as a gymnast.
"Chaos... blast!" screeched Crystal.
A red wave of saturated energy came out of her, and it blasted Blaze backwards, snapping her out of her slowed-down-time pocket.
Blaze was tossed dangerously across the levitating platform, nearly falling off.
Just when Crystal thought she had to go rescue Blaze, Blaze stopped at the very edge of the platform, blood coming from her mouth and cuts covering her fur.
Her eyes filled with concern, Crystal held up her hands and used a small healing spell Frost taught her.
Blaze rose, her wounds vanished and her robotic limbs in top condition.
Slowly, she made her way up, and then stared at Crystal.
"Do I know you?" asked Blaze.
Crystal sighed.
"I restore you from being a legion drone, then you ask me if you know me. Of course, long story. We just have to help Silver!"
Blaze's eyes widened.
"He is insecure without me! We must help him!" yelped Blaze.
Crystal sighed.
"I'm sorry to say that he cares about me, and I care about him." said Crystal.
Blaze's eyes widened even more and she started to say something, but just then, a shadowy net came down on her, quickly forming a semi-solid cage.
"No! Green echidna, help!" cried Blaze, banging against her bars. Blaze lit her finger ablaze, trying to melt the shadow, but nothing happened.
"Blaze, I'm called Crystal. Don't worry, I'm on it!" said Crystal.
She switched her hand on her robotic arm to a miniature saw, and sawed away chunks of the shadow cage, but then it started to rise, carried by the cyborg Fiona.
"Girls with no fashion sense. All the better to cage and get ready for legionization." hissed Fiona.
Before Crystal could begin to fight Fiona, Fiona threw another chain of darkness from her robotic arm and wrapped it around Crystal, squeezing her like she was a captured deer.
"Target captured. Shadow will be very happy. I'm surprised we haven't found this specimen yet over this barren land." snarled Fiona.
As Crystal was lugged like a prize cow, she saw the other free-willed Mobians were also captive, defeated by the Shadow Legion goons, even Pyro and Ennis.
"Wait, the old Mobians are still alive?" exclaimed old but muscular Ennis, held inside a shadow cage.
"Crikey! Its Blaze! I almost forgot about my BFF since being a Red Wisp!" cried Pyro.
"Marine! Wriggle free! Go to the Sol Dimension and guard the Sol Emeralds!" cried Blaze, her expression gloomy.
"I'm called Pyro now," replied the raccoon. "and I am also stuck!"
Blaze sighed, sitting down and gazing at the blank landscape go by.
"I always knew Shadow was insane, but this? Taking all of his former allies and making them his mindless servants? That is stepping down to Ivo Robotnik's level." sighed Blaze. "When Silver left me mysteriously... I thought that one day... Shadow and I..could..sigh..."
Crystal twisted towards the gloomy cat, sympathizing with her.
"I know its sudden that he loves a different Mobian now, but hey, cheer up! We'll get outta this!" said Crystal.
Blaze turned to her, eyes blazing with anger.
"No," she replied. "I'm sure we won't."

  1. Here's more of the Rogues of Jamaa Saga, because I think you said you wanted me to write some of it:
    Part 1
Mia awakened with a start. She was sure she had heard someone laugh in her sleep. Mia shrugged. It must have been a dream.
Looking around, Mia noticed Twilight was gone. For a moment, she wondered if Frost had been right. Then she stopped. What was she thinking? Twilight had probably just gotten homesick and had gone for a walk. Reassuring herself, she curled up again and fell asleep.
At the same time, Tango was taking a night walk when she was startled by a loud laugh. She narrowed her eyes and looked around. She couldn’t see anything. She must have been hearing things.
She continued her walk, and then stopped again. This time, she was SURE she had heard something. She looked up and saw something with wings. It was flying up in the sky. Tango slowly and silently used her earth powers to create a hill. She crept up to the top, huddled under a bush, and listened.

    1. Part 2

“Screech, do you read me? No one is around. Seems like a good time to attack. What about you? Over.”
“Same for me, Twilight. That’s enough for tonight. Go back to that soft-hearted Arctic Wolf’s place. Over.”
Silence filled the air. When Tango finally dared to look up, the sky was empty. She sat down to ponder what she had heard. They must have meant Mia when they were talking about the Arctic Wolf. She had to warn her.
Tango got up and started to run, then halted. Who would believe her? It was well known Tango liked to play jokes, and that she could bend the Truth Spell to say that she was always telling the truth.
Tango slumped onto the ground. Hope formed inside her. Wasn’t it worth a try? Maybe Mia would believe her, and would help her to convince the others.
Tango stood up and raced as fast as her paws would carry her to Mia’s place. She knocked with her paw and the door opened. There stood a tiger, his eyes glinting. “Hello,” purred the tiger menacingly. “Why are you here?”
Tango fought to keep her fur from bristling. “I’d like to see Mia please.”
The tiger smiled, showing his teeth. “I’m sorry, but Mia is asleep. Come back later.”
“I’m sorry,” Tango replied through gritted teeth,” But I need to see her now.”
The tiger shook his head. “That is not possible.”
“Let me through,” replied Tango, pushing some magic into her words to make the tiger obey.
Finally, the tiger put up fighting. “All right. Come in.”
Tango walked in and woke up Mia, who groaned.
      “What is it Tango?”
Tango whispered into Mia’s ear. “I need to talk to you. In private.”
“Fine, fine.” Mia got to her paws and went outside.
Tango started. “Do you know anyone named-er- Twilight or Screech?”
Mia slowly nodded. “Yes, I do. They’re two tigers who we found being chased by phantoms. Frost said to be careful. One of them is staying at my place. Why?”
Tango spilled out everything she’d overheard. “Do you believe me?” She blurted the words out before she had time to think.
Mia narrowed her eyes. “Sorry, Tango, but I don’t think so. You’re being rude to our visitors, having suspicions like that! Tango, I’m sorry, but I don’t think our visitors are doing any harm. Goodnight.”
Tango felt hopeless, watching Mia walk away. Now what was she going to do?
In Mia’s den, Twilight was hiding upstairs, listening to Mia and the rabbit’s conversation, as he had bugged Mia’s tail armor.
“…. But I don’t think our visitors are doing any harm. Goodnight.”
Twilight laughed evilly. How perfect! Of course, he would need to be more careful on patrols, but how lucky was he that the one hero who discovered the truth was the one that wasn’t believed!
“Roar, do you read me? Over.”
“Yes Twilight, what is it? You woke me up! Over.”
“Someone discovered me. One of the heroes. But luckily, no one believed her. Over.”
“Well, keep an eye on her. Do everything you can to prevent her from telling others. Even if it means making her forget. Do you understand? Over.”
      “Yes, of course. Over.”
Twilight heard the door to the den swing open and quickly faked sleep. But before he fell asleep, he muttered something to himself.
      “That bunny is doomed…”
      To be continued….

  2. Here's the first part of the sequel to Willow's Compass I promised!
    Willow’s Return
Lilac knew the Legend of the Phantom King well. It was her favorite story. Of the brave Willow, the one who had discovered the Temple of Zios, and how afterwards, Willow and the Phantom King disappeared forever. She often wondered where they went, and vowed to herself that she would find out and bring Willow back. Obviously, she didn’t know the truth (which is explained in the previous story, Willow’s Compass).
One day, Lilac was walking down the bustling paths of Jamaa Township. She decided to take a peek in Jam Mart Clothing, as she had heard there were new items for sale. She ducked inside. Looking inside, she saw there was nothing interesting her. She turned to leave when something hanging up on the wall caught her eye.
A beautiful turquoise necklace was hanging on the wall. It gleamed and sparkled like a diamond. And in the center was a beautiful bead, shaped just like a phantom.
A sign was on the wall next to it. “Do not touch” read the sign. Why couldn’t you touch it once? A small voice seemed to say. Lilac agreed. Why not? She knew she shouldn’t, but she felt something physically pulling up her paw until it met the stone. Then she found herself taking it off the wall and putting it in her bag.
When Lilac got to her den, the pull returned pulling her paws until she wore the necklace. Little did she know that it was the Phantom King’s invisible pull dragging her to the necklace.
As soon as the necklace touched Lilac’s neck, everything around her disappeared. She felt herself falling. As she fell, she felt her leg brush something, and she recoiled, as it shocked her. Finally, she stopped falling. She braced herself to hit the ground, but she never did. She opened her eyes and nearly fainted from what she saw.
Lilac (a rabbit), was floating in the air in the Chamber of Knowledge. Floating! Shocked, she discovered she could move, land on the ground, walk on the walls, anything she wanted. She realized this was fun!
Soon, Lilac discovered she was getting tired. Slowly, she floated towards the door, then flinched. Anytime she got within the boundary of the door, she received a sharp shock. The same happened with the windows too. Lilac slumped down in the air, an odd sight to see.
A young tiger walked in, and Lilac got an idea. She raced over to him. “Help me!” The tiger looked straight ahead as if he hadn’t heard anything. She looked at herself. She was see-through.
Lilac almost screamed. Why was she see-through? Suddenly frustrated, Lilac laid down in the air.
“I know, it does get a bit annoying, doesn’t it?”
Lilac whirled around. There, standing in front of her, was the brave explorer, Willow.
    To be continued….
