Hyrestia Tales: Last I Ever Saw You

(This will be the shortest entry. It's just a midway point between the Temple and Siarnaq.)

Frost sighed as she set up a tent underneath a palm tree.
They were on the coastline of the great dimension of Hyrestia, which overlined the entire island. It was a huge island; sure, with endless ocean all around that eventually led to the rim of the dimension (yes, its a flat dimension, yes, our dimension is flat), but it still made Frost nostalgic for Crystal Sands, the utopia it was. Already she could hear the laughs of children, the giant beach ball being passed from hand to hand, grouchy old animals trying to rid their paws of the crabby crabs on them...
Frost shook the feeling out. She couldn't allow daydreaming at this moment, because this was plausibly the last she would see of the world before they fought for their lives in Poseidon's shrine. It was a beautiful dimension lush with vegetation and beauty; yet Frost feared that this were the last days of its existence.
She looked out at the waves lapping at the shore like an affectionate dog.
This was a good spot for a camp, as the ocean was very calm here, food was plentiful regardless of being a carnivore, omnivore, herbivore, insectivore, or simply inhaled everything; and best of all...
... the warmth of the beach would melt any ice golems, making it safe for them and without need for tight night watches.
The rhythm of the snores around her, the nightime stars, and the satisfaction of safety caused her to nod off.

Frost awoke in a black, starry room filled with aromatic candles. They flickered and seemed to waft in different directions, but always lit the room with a persistent glow. Around them, the seemingly endless abyss of stars and constellations went around Frost forever, as deep as the memories of a happier life were. Days when she and her friends were gathering the Heroes into group. Days when the life of prophecys and clashing were merely specks in the distance. Days when Ledra and others were all stably intact.
Ripples extended from the candles, as if they were floating daintily on the top of crystal clear water. Each ripple penetrated Frost's very essence with a ghastly calm, as if her heart ceased beating and relieved her of the stress of living. Even then, her soul tugged at her body to come out, to waft away and float under Zios's wing. To be released of the burden of Icirrus's soul, to have her soul be free of any sort of responsibility.
Earth to Frost. You still have no idea what's going on.  whispered Icirrus.
Frost looked around; her eyes relaxed and not darting around, surveying her surroundings.
Then...
From the darkness, as if the walls were made of mist and the world was beyond it, Zion walked through the veil.
"Zuh-Zion?" squeaked Frost.
Her majestic lover was as muscular as ever, pure strength rippling underneath his black, glossy fur coat. His forehead wig of blond hair swept over his brow, giving him a sort of cute expression. Mascara-like spots enveloped his eyes, complimenting his melted-chocolate sad eyes. His gaze was wise and as all-seeing as a tactitian, being that he was excellent at chess. His heart thrummed with feeling, full of joy from Frost's very existence, his bromance with Parlan, and his loyalty to Sir Gilbert... and with resentment for his uselessness in the war, how much Sir Gilbert overprotected him, and worst of all, Frost being away to fight.
But you're still helpful! Frost wanted to say. Your simple existence supplements my life with essential nutrients! You aren't gregarious among the apprentices, nor are your powers copious, but simply being there is enough!
Yet, try as she might, her mouth was carameled shut. She suspected she even was drooling.
"Hello, Frost. I'm sorry that we cannot see each other in real life, but this is the utopia I imagine in my very consciousness. A place where we can relax together, the very cosmos spinning around us, and where the ugliness of the outside world is ignored and nonexistent. A world where we are eternal, never dying, never getting sick, always as pure as cleansed water." purred Zion. (Note: Name is pronounced SHE-on).
Frost stepped forward, and so did Zion. Their tails curled around each other, and a jolt of contentedness ran up Frost's spine, as if it were a messenger bearing news of victory.
"I missed you so much, Frost. I am glad I could whisk most of your being, your core, into my mind. Here, we will bask in each other's loveliness until dawn." prosed Zion.
It's as if he were proposing to me to marry him. pondered Frost as she nuzzled Zion. As if!
She wanted to tell Zion that she missed him too, but the words caught in her throat like a hairball. Missing him simply wasn't ample to describe her vast longing for his presence.
Not like I wouldn't marry him, like Ledra married Drakus, but I fear that if I also vanish, just like Ledra, then he will become as restless as Drakus. I keep on getting texts from Bloda that Drakus is still demented, and throwing fits every quarter hour!
Zion sat down in the circle of candles, and ripples awaited his motion. They spread along the floor and vanished into the darkness, although Frost had no idea where floor met wall, wall met ceiling, and even the porportions of such matter in this glade.
Just then, Zion beckoned for Frost to sit down with him.
"My speechless dear, I would like a word with you. Simply savoring the moment, carpeing the diem, y'know."
Frost sat down, and was struck by a kiss. It came out of nowhere, like the pain of an arrow through her sternum.
"You rougish devil." she growled.
"And I thought I was but a devilish rouge." replied Zion.
For a while, they enjoyed the simple presence of once enough, basking in each others warmth. The candles lit their faces up, although neither thought they really need light to get a facelift. Even falling through darkness or boiling in lava wouldn't have wrecked the moment, shattering it into a million pieces in the process.
Then, Zion flipped himself onto her, as if he were about to do a killing blow, but instead gently nudged her into a pinning position.
"If you are uncomfortable, Frost, just tell me. What I am about to do doesn't work without universal happiness." he instructed.
Then, a wave of pure, raw, good feeling spread through Frost.
They had done it many times before, but doing it when simply cores? Spectacular. Fireworks flashed behind Frost's eyeballs, her body tingled with sheer excitement, and Zion's sheepish grin lit up her world.
They continued swaddling each other and staying in the sexual position for a while, until light started to creep into Frost's eyes, light other than the gentle stars around them and the candlelight.
Zion's face contorted into worriedness, but he instead spoke in the beautiful, Mira-like voice of Snowyclaw.
"Frost, wake up. Keldeo is taking us boogie-boarding."
